Meet Christine

My husband and I are nearing our 20th wedding anniversary this October and it pains me to say this but at the time when we got married, I had no idea how much I would regret not hiring a professional photographer. We had an intimate ceremony at the courthouse and I paid a hobbyist photographer that my mom knew from her work a $100 to capture my ceremony and a few images of my new husband and our 1 year old son after the ceremony. I didn’t value photography enough to pay a professional. I didn’t think I needed too. BIG MISTAKE! This is honestly one of the biggest regrets in my life. I have maybe 2 images from our wedding day that are not blurry or grainy and dark. I WISH someone would’ve told me that the ONLY thing left when your wedding day is over are the pictures. Everything I had focused on, the dress and cake, the food and the dj were gone and there weren’t any pictures to remember our big day.

12 years ago I started my photography journey and my mindset through it all was I want to capture memories that will last a lifetime. In photos. Digitals that can be made into Christmas cards and memory books. Printed images that can be displayed on walls and in albums. I WANT people to have beautiful, in focus, properly exposed gorgeous images of the people they love and the moments we cherish. Time goes by too fast and when it’s gone, it’s gone.

Being a Momma to an incredible 20 year old son, I know how just how fast this time goes by! I absolutely LOVE being able to go through old pictures of him when he was just a little guy and also enjoying the more recent portraits in our home that remind me of what a handsome and wonderful man he has become. My husband and I will be investing in a professional photographer to capture our vow renewal on our 20th anniversary this year. It’s not the same as my wedding but it will have to do. I can’t dwell on the past but I can change things for the future. Just like the song by Kenny Chesney says…Don’t blink.
